1. Purpose and nature of the service
This website corresponds to the International Fiscal Association (IFA) congress to be held in Punta del Este, Uruguay, from March 9 to 11, 2027, organized by Instituto Uruguayo de Estudios Tributarios (the “organizer”). The service offered by the organizer consists of registration for an in-person academic event. Complementary services such as accommodation, transfers and experiences are managed through providers that are independent from the organizer.
2. How registration is purchased
Registration is completed online through the registration form available in the "Registration" section of the website. The process is as follows: The participant completes their personal details and selects their category (IFA Member, IUET Member or Non Member). The participant completes billing details for issuance of the corresponding receipt. The participant accepts these Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy. The participant completes online payment. Payment is mandatory to confirm registration. Once payment is credited, the participant receives confirmation and the receipt at the email address provided.
3. Prices, currency and processing costs
Registration fees are expressed in United States dollars (USD), but processing will be made in the local currency of the country registered by the participant, applying the corresponding exchange rate. Payment method processing costs may be added at checkout. Prices may be updated according to the registration period in effect at the time of payment.
4. What registration includes
Registration grants access to the congress academic sessions and the activities detailed in the official agenda published on the website. It does not include accommodation, transfers, tourist experiences or personal expenses, unless expressly stated.
5. Cancellation policy
Refunds or modifications are not allowed once registration has been completed and confirmed.
6. Event modifications
The organization may adjust the academic program, panelists, schedules and venue.
7. Personal data
The processing of participants' personal data is governed by the website Privacy Policy and by Uruguay's Law No. 18,331 on Personal Data Protection.
8. Applicable law and jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay.
